Large components delivered at Nuon Twingo Project
Friday, December 16, 2011
During the past months, Wagenborg Nedlifts’ transport operators
have been quite busy with transporting a so-called power train to
the Nuon powerplant in Diemen, Amsterdam Netherlands. A gas turbine
of more than 300 tons, a transformer of 277 tons and a generator of
383 tons found their way from factories in Germany to the new built
power plant. The supply of these giants forms part of the Nuon
Twingo Project. At the power plant sites Hemweg and Diemen (both
Amsterdam area), Nuon expands here production capacity with two gas
fired unites. Previously, Wagenborg Nedlift took already care of
the transport of the power train equipment to the Hemweg location.
Once operational, the new units will produce approx. 400 MW of
power. Of course, some nice pictures were taken during the
transport activities.
