Nauryz 2005

This year Paul van der Pol, the managing director was also present and made a speech on behalf of Wagenborg, whereupon Messrs Van der Pol, Hoek, Van der Heide and Strijbosch sang a famous folklore Dutch song. Especially for Naurys, gentlemen have learnt “Kom mee naar buiten allemaal, dan zoeken wij de wielewaal”(“Let’s go all together outside and look for a golden oriole”). To make it complete they were dancing while singing. The performance was highly appreciated by the guests.

After formal part of celebration all guests were invited for traditional Naurys meal. The ritual meal consists of 7 ingredients: water, meet, salt, butter, flour, grains and milk, which symbolize joy, happiness, wisdom, health, prosperity, rich harvest and God’s blessing.
