Alternative Rigging Systems
In those cases were cranes are unusable, unavailable or extemely
expensive we can use our in-house developed alternative rigging
system. We construct a gantry crane on top of an existing
construction like a drilling rig, which consists of lightweight
gantries, mast parts and winches. The crane is composed of
‘trusses’, which are aluminium pieces up to 25 kg. Similar frames
are used for lighting and cameras during pop concerts. The low
weight of these parts means that the rigging system can be
constructed by hand. However, even though it is light weight, this
system still enables us to hoist weights up to 15 tonnes.
