Transport & Provisioning
Wagenborg Offshore is at home in the Caspian Sea. With many
years of experience in this region, our transport services sail
with ease to, from and over the Caspian Sea via the Volga-Don canal
and the Volga-Balt route. In the Caspian Sea we provide the dril
sites with bulk cargo, fuel, water, and break-bulk. Salvage and
stand-by duties also form part of our tasks.
The Volga-Balt route is the link from the Finnish Gulf. It uses
the river Lena, a number of lakes and canals, the Volga, and
eventually the Caspian Sea.
From the Black Sea, via the Sea of Azov and the river Don, the
Volga-Don canal provides access to the river Volga and the Caspian
Sea. The Volga-Don canal flows for 101 kilometres through Russian
territory, and the height differences are bridged with 15
locks.
