For an innovative Walk-to-Work vessel (ERRV) we are looking for an experienced Master / SDPO. Are you trained, experienced, qualified, and competent to take charge of a DP watch for any DP operation that the vessel may become engaged in? Then we are looking for you!

 

The Walk-to-Work vessel plays a crucial role in maintenance and servicing offshore platforms in the North Sea. She enables offshore operations to be executed more safely, efficiently, effective and productive. The vessel allows service and maintenance staff to work on several different platforms during one voyage. Offshore crew embarks and disembarks from the vessel to and from the platform and in case of emergency immediately evacuation is possible. The Walk-to-Work vessel accommodates hotel facilities, workshops, cargo, and spare parts storage and is equipped with a motion-controlled gangway. The ship operates 24 hours 7 days a week in the North Sea.

 

Job description

The master is in charge of DP watches. You conduct annual trials, lead DP drills, train new DP personnel, and assess the skill level of new and existing DP personnel. You investigate DP incidents and have a comprehensive understanding of the DP computer/control system(s), including changing between systems and the various modes of operation. Additionally, you have detailed knowledge of emergency procedures and actions that impact the DP operation. You are competent to train on any other system that you are responsible for, such as vessel management systems, PMS, Viking SaatSea, OnBoard. The Master should actively participate in HAZID/HAZOP meetings as part of project planning and have knowledge of relevant IMCA documentation.

We are looking for a colleague who is solution-driven, cooperative, and gives safety the highest priority. In addition to these Wagenborg core competencies we ask the following competencies: navigation, safety, and control, plan and organize, accuracy, communication, stress tolerance and adaptability. You have an excellent command of English, both verbal and in writing. ERRV experience and the possession of relevant OPITO certificates (ITSO, C&C) are a pre.

  • Opito ITSO (ERRV required)
  • Opito C&C (ERRV required)
  • STCW certification
  • Full DP certificate issued by the NI
