According to Groningen Seaports, this is the largest vessel ever to arrive in our port.
The vessel arrived in Delfzijl, after discharging part of her
cargo in Terneuzen and Gent, to discharge a further 32.000 ton palm
kernels originating from Pasir Gudang (Malaysia) and Belawan
(Indonesia). The 75.466 ton Celine I is 243,93 meters long and has
a width of 32,20 meters. The cargo was intended for Wagenborg Bulk
Terminal. This division of Koninklijke Wagenborg exploits an
advanced storage depot in Delfzijl existing of six halls able to
contain 7000 tons each and a covered hall for loading and
discharging. Storage capacity of 10.000 m2 and a loading and
discharging capacity of 600 ton per hour guarantee a quick and
efficient cargo handling of sea-going vessels. By using a conveyor
belt, vessels can be loaded and discharged during all weather
conditions. Celine I left Delfzijl September 3rd.
