In the ports of Delfzijl and Eemshaven in the north of the Netherlands, Wagenborg has modern multipurpose terminals, a 1,800 metre long quay with roll-on and roll-off facilities and a deep draught. From Delfzijl and Eemshaven there are excellent connections with the hinterland, Germany and the Netherlands. This means that Wagenborg can guarantee a seamless transport chain. Goods from the Netherlands and Germany are stored and transhipped in sea-going vessels via Wagenborg Stevedoring. Cargo destined for the northwest European markets finds its way over land and water via the modern transhipment terminal in Delfzijl.
The terminals of Wagenborg are extremely suitable for handling forestry products, including wood, paper, and cellulose. It goes without saying that the storage and transhipment of big bags, pallets, and bulk is carried out with the greatest care. The terminals have an open and closed storage capacity of more than 140,000 m2 and comply with the most stringent standards for handling and storing forestry products. The Wagenborg terminals are a reliable and essential part of large and small transport chains.
Wagenborg Stevedoring takes care of the entire logistics administration right down to the smallest details. With pre and post-transports by the Wagenborg group we can take care of the entire transport process. With our own in-house software we have the most up-to-date information available for the entire transport and storage chain, including online. It means that you can dedicate your time and attention to your own core business.
The Bulk Terminal in Delfzijl is active in the storage and transhipment of animal feed and bulk products within a number of import and export chains in particular. Six new warehouses with a capacity of 7,000 tonnes were built to the highest quality standards. The transhipment hall is fully covered, and we have a modern conveyor system, which means that barges and coasters can be loaded and unloaded safely and quickly in nearly all weather conditions. The large loading and unloading capacity of 600 tonnes per hour guarantees a rapid and efficient transhipment to and from sea-going vessels. The terminal is in the outer harbour of Delfzijl and on its surface area of 10,000m2 it has storage capacity of around 40,000 tonnes.
