On January 4th, after the christening by mrs. Anneke de Bock-Ekkelkamp, sister-in-law of managing-director Gilbèrt de Bock of De Bock Maritime, the successful launch of MV Sardius took place in Korcula, Croatia.(video)

 

 

This ship, third in a series of four 1A ice-classed, nozzle equipped, 5200 tons type I-box vessels to be built for Wagenborg and affiliated captain-owners, will be completed by Peters Shipyards in Kampen.

 

 

The I-box vessel is characterized by a 60 metre long hatch-opening and a hold equal in size.

The delivery of m.v. Sardius is expected end June.
