Recently Wagenborg Kazakhstan handed over her Marine Simulation Equipment to the Yessenov University in Aktau during a ceremony, which was attended by Alik Aidarbayev (akim of Mangistau Oblast), Botabekov Adilbek Kozhabekovich (rector of the University), Hans Driesser (Dutch Ambassador in Kazakhstan) and Fabio Giurato (Branch Director Wagenborg Kazakhstan).
The handover of the Maritime Simulation Equipment underlines the determination of Wagenborg with respect to a long-term presence in Kazakhstan. With this support of local maritime education, the Yessenov University has access to a maritime simulation facility, which can be used to provide a full education package to their marine students. All students will now have the opportunity to improve their skills on board. The training equipment can also simulate ports under bad weather conditions.
Also Alik Aidarbayev, akim of Mangistau Oblast, was delighted the maritime simulation equipment was offered to the Yessenov Univesity. “The demands for qualified maritime professionals increases annually. This simulation equipment will support the development of the maritime industry in Kazakhstan”, conludes Alik Aidarbayev.
