Although Wagenborg has experience towing many types of objects and cargo, last week a special project took place: towing a wooden ark from Lübeck to Rostock, Germany.

Recently, this ark was positioned in the port of Lübeck as Noah’s Ark. This ark is Europe’s first floating bible theme park. The ark, measuring 70 meters in length, 10 meters in width and 13 meters in height, exists of 4 floors.

After being in Lübeck for over a month, Friday the 17th of January the ark continued her European journey. With assistance of 2 tugs, including Wagenborg tug ‘Watergeus’, the ark was towed down the river Trave to the Baltic Sea and her final destination: the port of Rostock.
