ProRail is working on the new railway station Werpsterhoeke between the railway stations Leeuwarden and Zwolle (the Netherlands). This new railway station will be deployed with two underpasses: one for cars, trucks and heavy traffic and one for cyclists and pedestrian. Last weekend, Wagenborg positioned both railway underpasses on behalf of a civil contractor.

On Thursday afternoon, May 12th, 2016, Wagenborg first transported the underpass for cyclists, weighing 900 tonnes, from the fabrication site to the railway. For this transport Wagenborg deployed 36 axle-lines SPMT’s. To prevent subsidence during the transport activities, Wagenborg’s ramps devision supplied approximately 600 AZOBE-ramps and 500 steel plates.

During the night of 14th to 15th of October, 2016, both decks have been positioned during ProRail’s decommissioning. Wagenborg deployed 60 axle-lines SPMT’s to position the 1500 tonnes weighing underpass for cars.
