In her homeport of Delfzijl, Eva Pot, daughter of Pot Scheepvaart’s director Peter Pot, christened the Sagasbank on November 11th. The Sagasbank is the fifth vessel in the “Bank” fleet, christened by this nineteen year old student, studying sports management.
Apart from a large number of 3250 ton vessels, the Sagasbank is the second 4500 ton vessel Veka/Bijlsma B.V., Lemmer, built for Wagenborg and her affiliated captain/owners. In Melnik, Czech Republic, Apatin, Serbia and the Chinese ports Nantong, Yitzheng and Hangzhou construction of the hulls take place, (partly) equipped with heavy oil installations. Completion of the vessels takes place in Lemmer. Sagasbank’s maiden trip will commence shortly.
