On January 10th , Wagenborg transported eight offshore wind platforms from Salzbergen to Bremen (Germany) destined for the Nord See One offshore wind farm, approximately 40 km north of the island of Juist.

Escorted by police, eight trucks with platform parts departed from Ibbenbüren to Uffeln. Since the transport was rather wide (11 meters!), highway A30 between Salzbergen and Ibbenbüren had to be closed off.

Subsequently, on the same day, a 130 tons mobile crane transshipped the platform parts onto the barge in the port of Uffeln, close to Ibbenbüren. The barge will arrive in Bremen via the river Rhine, IJssel and the IJsselmeer, across the North of the Netherlands and finally via the river Eems.

Previously, at the end of 2015, Wagenborg transported seven identical platform parts for the Nord See One wind farm. End of January and mid-February 2016, Wagenborg will transport another 8 parts. Eventually, 31 platform parts in total will be transported from Salzbergen to Bremen by Wagenborg.
