Mid 2016, the expansion of Holland Malt in Eemshaven has started. Holland Malt is an organisation which produces beer and has two production plants, one in Lieshout and one in Eemshaven. Main focus of the Holland Malt plant in Eemshaven is the production of lager. Because of the growing market, there is a growing demand for lager as well. Therefore Holland Malt is working on an expansion and Wagenborg contributes by positioning storage silos.
A lot of hard work is going on at the expansion project of Holland Malt in Eemshaven, commissioned by Iemants Staalconstructies NV. At the end of 2016, Wagenborg started the work by positioning some parts of the storage silos.
Afterwards, Holland Malt B.V. ordered Wagenborg to relocate three tanks via a transhipment transport & lifting operation using a 4-axle truck with a double extendible trailer, three mobile cranes with a capacity up to 100 tonnes and a mobile crane with a capacity up to 500 tonnes with a 42 meters flying jib.
At this moment, the hard work of Wagenborg at the expansion of Holland Malt in the Eemshaven is still going on. On Monday October 16th, 2017, we literally reached the top. We have reached the height of 60 meters! Besides the positioning of storage silos and fitting the roof plates, we also began with the construction of the pipe bridge.
The activities for the expansion of Holland Malt will be finished by the end of 2017, so the new part of the production plant can be put into service early 2018.
