Royal Wagenborg  proves to be a logistic ‘one-stop-shop’ by  combining various modalities. Wagenborg Projects & Logistics, Wagenborg Shipping and Wagenborg Nedlift transported four converter parts and two heat-exchangers from Germany to Finland.

The four converter parts (12 x 11 x 4.8m and weighing max. 40 tonnes) and the two heat-exchangers (13.9 x 6.3 x 6.4m, 132 tonnes and 13.5 x 4.8 x 5.1m, 69 tonnes) were  transported from the production hall in Haren (Germany) to the transhipment location by deploying a 10-axle modular trailer. Here, a 700-ton mobile crane lifted the heavy parts from the trailer into an inland vessel and onto a barge both bound for Delfzijl. Upon arrival in Delfzijl the parts were transferred in a 6.000 DWT vessel at the Wagenborg quay by using a 700-ton mobile crane. The m.v. Nova Cura, also managed by Wagenborg, will ship the parts to Kokkola (Finland).
