Currently, TenneT work is working in progress to buildon the fourth high-voltage connection between the Netherlands and Germany: the new 380 kV- high-voltage connection Doetinchem – Wesel. This connection consists of 54 Wintrack-mast pairs, each one consisting of two slender pylons. VolkerWessels Telecom assigned Wagenborg to position the masts and to install them together with VolkerWessels Telecom. AA pleasure for Wagenborg to position and install these 108 pylons. .

Since 2012, Wagenborg has gained much experience in positioning Wintrack-mast sections. For the safest and most efficient execution of the lifting operations, Wagenborg developed special lifting tools  and a remote control shackle. For the Doetinchem – Wesel route, Wagenborg provides installation services as well. Meantime the first four Wintrack-mast sections have been positioned and installed in Doetinchem (the Netherlands). The full high-voltage line will be ready by the end of 2017.

In 2017, Wagenborg will also position the mast sections for the ‘Wintrack Noordring – Zuid’, project Randstad 380kV. This high-voltage line from Beverwijk to Bleiswijk (the Netherlands) consists of 113 Wintrack-mast pairs.

Wintrack-masts (developed by Tennet) will replace the normal lattice masts and result in a reduction of the magnetic zone. They are maintenance-friendly and flexible in use. More information about Wintrack-masts:
