Is welding your passion? Do you love nothing more than getting the job done and want to contribute to building our innovative ships? Then we have the perfect job for you!

What will you be doing?

We are currently constructing EasyMax ships for Royal Wagenborg, and you will play a key role in its creation. Your responsibility will be to produce high-quality welds for this ship.

Using a double fillet weld machine and a weaving welding machine, you will work closely with the foreman to determine the optimal welding sequence and method. You’ll control the weld pool by managing arc length, travel speed, and electrode/torch positioning. Once the weld is complete, you’ll clean it up by removing slag, welding spatter, and brushing the weld.

The day will fly by as you and your colleagues work together to ensure that, by the end of this year, the ship will be ready to explore the world’s oceans.

What do we offer?

  • A position at a stable and reputable company.

  • A salary in line with the collective labor agreement.

  • Overtime paid well above the collective labor agreement.

  • Additional perks on top of your salary, such as:

    • Partial reimbursement for your gym membership or sportswear.

    • Discounts on health insurance.

    • A generous expense allowance.

    • An annual profit-sharing scheme.

  • Opportunities to follow training courses at our expense.

  • A strong focus on HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality).

Who are we looking for?

  • You hold BmbE level 3 and Mag level 3 diplomas, along with the following welding certificates:

    • 138 BW/FW PE/PB

    • 136 BW/FW PF/PB

    • 111 BW/FW PF/PB

    • Preferably also 111 BW/FW PC/PB

  • Experience in shipbuilding welding is a plus.

  • You work accurately and follow company and safety regulations.

  • You thrive in a friendly and collaborative work environment.

Don’t have the required skills yet?

In collaboration with the Metal and Shipbuilding Training Foundation Groningen, we also offer paid work-study programs.
