The construction of two biomess power stations are going on in Bleiswijk. These power stations generate sustainable energy by combusting biomass. The residual heat which is caused by the process will be sustainably used to provide heat for several greenhouses. The remaining residual heat will be used for district heating. On behalf of Visser & Smit Hanab, Wagenborg took care of the hoisting work for the positioning of a 370 meter heat pipeline. This pipeline connects the biomass power stations with each other and the heating system.
Using 12 mobile cranes, which vary from a capacity of 40 tonnes to 80 tonnes, Wagenborg kept the pipeline at height, so the welding work could be accomplished. Next, the pipeline was positioned. A spectacular job, which was carried out successfully thanks to perfect team teamwork of all parties involved.
The first biomass power station will be operational mid-January 2018, after which the first client will be provided with the residual heat. The second biomass power station will be operational halfway 2018.
