Recently, for the third time, Wagenborg transported a ‘Mobile Wellhead Compressor Skid’ from Waddinxveen, commissioned by NAM. The first skid was transported to Gaag (the Netherlands, 2015) and the second one in 2016, destined for ‘s Gravenzande (the Netherlands, 2016). The third skid, weighing 67 tonnes, was destined for NAM location Oude Pekela (Groningen).

First of all, the skid (produced by Eltacon Engineering BV in Waddinxveen), was brought outside and loaded onto conventional trailers by a 500 tonnes mobile crane. As soon as the skid was loaded, local transport to the quay in Waddinxveen could begin. At the quay, the 500 tonnes mobile crane transshipped the skid into an inland vessel. Upon arrival in Winschoten the giant was transshipped onto conventional trailers again and transported to her final location: NAM location Oude Pekela, where Wagenborg positioned the skid onto foundation (commissioned by Engie).

Thanks to excellent cooperation between all parties involved, Wagenborg was able to finish this project in a successful way.
