Fivelborg ready for years of reliable service after successful docking and special survey

Last week, Wagenborg has completed the docking and special survey of the 15-year-old general cargo vessel Fivelborg at the renowned shipyard Royal Niestern Sander in Delfzijl. This milestone marks the fleet strategy of Wagenborg to contiuously invest in the quality of her vessels up to a lifespan of 30 years.

Extensive scope of work ensures operational excellence

During the docking, Fivelborg underwent a comprehensive overhaul. The hull was fully blasted and coated under the supervision of a paint manufacturer’s inspector, restoring it to excellent condition and ensuring long-term protection. In parallel, the vessel’s machinery—including the main engine, auxiliary engines and thrusters—was completely overhauled, inspected and tested. All electrical systems, nautical equipment and deck gear were thoroughly checked to meet Wagenborg’s high standards of safety and reliability.

Fit for the future

Now fully certified and technically refreshed, Fivelborg is ready to resume her loyal service within Wagenborg’s network of customers. Her renewed condition ensures fuel-efficient operations and dependable performance for years to come—an embodiment of our promise: For sure.
