MV Eeborg 1st Wagenborg vessel in the Lakes for 2020

The MV Eeborg is the first vessel for Wagenborg on the Great Lakes in the 2020 season after the locks system had been closed since mid-January for its annual winter maintenance work. After discharging ferro alloys in Montreal, the MV Eeborg is heading for Windsor to load 9.750 tonnes of soybean meal for Europe.

Great Lakes as one of the primary trading regions

This voyage of the MV Eeborg marks the start of the Lakes-season for Wagenborg. With about vessels / 70 voyages per season, Wagenborg had every week minimal 1 vessel in the Seaway System during the 8 month season. This makes this region one of the primary trading areas of the Dutch shipping company. In the vessels sizes of 8.000-13.000dwt, Wagenborg is one of the most consistent Carrier in the Great Lakes.

Success of Wagenborg in the Seaway system

The commitment of the Wagenborg fleet to this trading area is much appreciated my many customers. The frequency offered, the record of being on time as well as a good knowledgeable crew on board that can get the job done, is the basis of the success of Wagenborg on the Great Lakes and the Seaway System. The port calls and accounts in this region are mainly operated from the branch office in Montreal.
