Wagenborg attends working visit of Princess Margriet in Canada

Last weekend, Wagenborg was invited to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ottawa, Canada. During this gathering, a Wagenborg delegation met Princess Margriet, who was visiting Canada on a working visit together with Prof. Mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven. Wagenborg regarded the invitation as a sign of appreciation for the long-standing involvement of Dutch organisations and companies in Canada.

The working visit focused on the broader relationship between the Netherlands and Canada and the cooperation that flows from it, including at diplomatic, societal and economic levels. The reception at the embassy offered space for dialogue and exchange between representatives of the Dutch government, social organisations and the business community.

For Wagenborg, the meeting had clear relevance. Canada has been an important area of operation for the company for decades. From its office in Montréal, Wagenborg supports maritime transport and logistics projects, particularly in Canada and the surrounding regions. This long-term presence requires in-depth knowledge of local conditions and close, sustainable cooperation with Canadian partners.

We were honoured to be present at this reception,” stated Marco Renzelli (managing director Wagenborg Shipping North America) . “It underlines the importance of Canada for the Netherlands, but also for our daily operations. Our activities here are built on continuity and long-term cooperation.”

The meeting in Ottawa reflects the way Wagenborg operates internationally: engaged, careful and focused on durable relationships. The company does not view Canada as a temporary market, but as a region in which it has invested for many years in people, expertise and collaboration. From Montréal, Wagenborg will continue to be active in the Canadian market, working in the years ahead with clients and partners on reliable and future-oriented maritime solutions.
