Dutch Ministery of Defense secures geared Wagenborg tonnage for long term capacity
The Dutch Ministery of Defense and Wagenborg have come to an agreement for a multi-year contract for three LOLO vessels from the geared Wagenborg fleet. This contract enables the Ministery of Defence to move material more flexibel and fast over seas.

Construction contract signed with Goossens te Pas for new Wagenborg location in Sappemeer
The boards of Royal Wagenborg and Goossens te Pas, part of the Netherlands' largest construction company VolkerWessels, signed the construction contract for a new Wagenborg location at the Vosholen in Sappemeer, the Netherlands. With this signing, our Board of Directors and the management of Goossens te Pas formally give the green light for an investment that aligns with our company's long-term vision.
The new vessel ‘OLIVIJN’ strengthens long term cooperation in short sea shipping
This week, m.v. OLIVIJN became part of the Wagenborg chartering fleet. The vessel was delivered earlier to De Bock Maritiem and is the third newbuild built by Holland Shipyards for this owner. With OLIVIJN now commercially operated by Wagenborg, our customers can rely on additional capacity within a fleet that is focused on continuity and operational certainty.
Two lock gates successfully positioned in the Eemshaven basin for testing
Another significant milestone has been reached in the Brunsbüttel lock gate project at Eemshaven. The final two massive lock gates—previously transported from Emden to Eemshaven on the pontoon Wagenborg Barge 11—have now been lifted from the barge and placed in the water for testing. This marks the next phase in a highly complex and carefully orchestrated infrastructure project that highlights Wagenborg’s expertise in heavy transport and lifting operations.
Carbon Destroyer 1 set sail to Esbjerg after successful sea trials
The Carbon Destroyer 1, Europe’s first offshore DP2 CO₂ carrier, has left her home port Delfzijl after she successfully completed two sea trials in the North Sea. With these tests concluded, the vessel moves a decisive step closer to its upcoming deployment to Esbjerg, where it will become part of Project Greensand’s offshore CO₂ storage chain, led by INEOS Energy.
