Before transporting the fore ship, the ship building experts of Niestern Sander and their subcontractors installed as much systems, piping and machinery as possible inside the construction halls at the shipyard. Also the front section of this new EasyMax vessel was completely preserved and painted in the well-known Wagenborg colours.
The EasyMax is an award-winning 14.500 ton ice-class 1A vessel type and marks the future of the Wagenborg fleet. She has the highest worldwide ranking on the Energy Efficiency Design Index resulting in excellent fuel efficiency and hence CO2 performance. By adding this type of fuel efficient vessels to the fleet, Wagenborg continues to make her business more sustainable every day.
The construction of yard number 853 will be the fourth Easymax vessel for Wagenborg after the ‘Egbert Wagenborg’, ‘Máxima’ and ‘Amalia’ and is expected to be delivered by the end of this summer.
